Introduction for StudentsThe Burma Education Resource Pack presents you with an opportunity to undertake independent research into issues currently affecting Burma. Human rights violations by one of the most brutal military regimes in the world have resulted in Burma's 52.4 million people enduring extreme oppression and poverty. All around the world, supporters of Burma continually campaign to secure political, economic, and social justice for the Burmese people. The aim of the Resource Pack is for an awareness and understanding of the current situation in Burma to inspire you towards more active involvement in this and other human rights issues, and in the sharing of new knowledge with others. You can work through any or all topics in this Resource Pack as you choose, in addition to exploring the many other materials available by following up the suggested web sites. Is there anything you'd like to tell us? Suggestions about what you found useful in the Resource Pack are welcome. Please contact us using the Feedback Form on this website.
